Under the terms of the new GDPR, EDWA has a responsibility to inform members about how the Club collectsdata (which includes personal information relating to a member’s name, address, DOB, email address, photographs (if applicable), criminal convictions and telephone numbers) and how that data will be used. The data we hold is essential to the successful running of the club, therefore your permission [to hold and use your data] is vital; allowing you to receive correspondents, gain BASC membership and ultimately shoot on club land.

Information supplied in connection with your membership is stored on a password secured electronic system and is only used in connection with membership matters, club advertisement (photos via the club website) and the distribution of information. Access to your personal data within the Club is by relevant committee members for the purpose of carrying out their duties. We hold your details on our database only as long as you are a member of the EDWA.

You have the right to withdraw your permission for EDWA to hold your personal details on its database. To withdraw your permission however, means you are disjoining the club. If you wish to withdraw your data, and thus membership, please write to the Club Secretary. Upon receipt of such a request, your details will be removed securely from our records and your membership will be cancelled.

Although you have a right to withhold permission, it would be impossible to continue to manage the Club, due to the nature of our business, and therefore in order to gain membership, permission to GDPR must also be gained. I give permission for EDWA to store and use my information for club purposes and declare that all other information completed by me on this form is correct
